Will I be able to stay with my child during their appointment?
At our pediatric dental office, we know that a trip to the dentist can be a challenge for both you and your child. This is why we work hard to help your child feel comfortable and safe from the moment that they walk into our office.
Tours of the game room and dental office give them a chance to see who we are and what we do. Our staff makes sure to use kid-friendly terms and explanations so that your child doesn’t feel overwhelmed or anxious when they are introduced to new experiences. One of the reasons that we do this is so that when it comes time to take them back to be seen by Dr. Bret or the hygienist, they are able to go on their own.
Helping Your Child Feel Comfortable
We have found that children who are seen without their parents in the room are often more relaxed and helpful when being asked to follow directions. This independence empowers them to feel like they are in charge of their own dental hygiene! The more they learn, the better chance they have of caring for their teeth.
After their appointment, a member of our team will catch you up on everything that happened while your child was being seen by Dr. Bret, including any instructions that they were given and what is expected of them until their next visit.
