 Welcome to the pre-teen section of Jerger Pediatric Dentistry website. Many pre-teens are starting or following up orthodontic treatment. Patients need to remember to keep their braces as clean as possible. We offer our patients a variety of tools and aides to keep the area around their brackets and wires plaque and debris free. Besides offering floss threaders, orthodontic toothbrushes, and travel brushes we also have Sonicare and Oral-B sonic toothbrushes available. Patients that do not practice good oral hygiene not only prolong treatment, they also leave themsevles susceptible to decay and scarring of the teeth. Gingival inflammation and swelling can also occur due to poor
oral health care.
The key to any successful orthodontics is compliance. Make sure to follow Dr. Bret's directions faithfully. If you have any questions, make sure not to hesitate to ask. Dr. Bret and his
staff want to make sure that your child's time in braces is a pleasurable one. If your child breaks or loses a bracket or wire, make sure to contact our office as soon as possible.
