  1. Make sure to take your time while brushing. Take in between two to four minutes to ensure all areas are reached.
  2. Concentrate brushing the gingiva (gums) using soft circular motions. Do not "saw" with the toothbrush. use a soft bristle toothbrush.
  3. Don't forget to reach all the way to the back and give special attention to erupting wisdom teeth. Even if the tooth is only partially erupted, give the area full attention.
  4. Brush all surfaces, including the lingual side (surface by the tongue) of the teeth. Brush the tongue for fresh breath. Brush the roof and floor of the mouth.
  5. Make sure to take out and brush all dental appliances. Do not soak in Listerine, as the liquid will break down the material the retainer is made of and may also stain it.
